The Greatest Gift!

The Greatest Gift is LOVE! Many things will cease in due time but Love will never end!💗 💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗

1 Corinthians 13:1-13 NKJV "Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing. Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away. When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known. And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.”

Faith in God

In a sea of human voices telling you everyday the way that you should go or act or believe it's easy to be convinced one way or the other. Paul says here in 2 Corinthians 2:4-5 that he didn't come preaching with fancy and persuasive words but instead with saving power from the Holy Spirit because we are not to put our faith in man or their wisdom but in the power of God! This chapter was my reading for today but what I love is the marked up part next to this verse in my bible where God had actually answered prayer with this verse a year ago. It's just a reminder that Gods wisdom was and is and that is all I need to put my faith in for the rest of eternity! Happy Monday!

Love Love

I have tried throughout my life to default to the law of love that the scriptures speak of so often. When I am walking with the Lord I am much better at this than times of my life when I have not.  Scripture is clear about it not being our job to judge others. This verse in Romans 14:4 specifically talks about Christians judging other Christians. It says "who are you to judge another's servant? To his own master he stands or falls. Indeed, he will be made to stand, for God is able to make him stand." It's easy to get wrapped up in what your doing for God that is good and it clouds your focus to judge what other believers are doing. The Lord is able to sanctify each of us Himself. He may use us to help a weak believer but we must never judge the Lords servants. After all each of us are accountable to God at the end, we are not accountable to each other. Walk in love and pursue the things which make for peace and the things which edify each other. Happy Thursday! 💗😊🙏✝

Such a time as this!

Reading in Esther this morning. Here's the short story: The Jews are in trouble (death to all Jews has been declared) and Esther being the Queen and a Jewish woman is in a position to try to change the Kings mind but certain laws forbid her to just approach the king whenever she wants. Mordecai, her uncle, says to her "Who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?"

Wow! That stopped me in my tracks! What if this is your time to make a difference? What if the big thing you are struggling with, the thing that feels like it could be the death of you, what if... just what if your were put in that situation to make a difference! For such a time as this!

I know God weaves our life in a way for us to reach others and fulfill our purpose and he uses the struggles and the hard times too! Next time you are knee deep one of life's issues ask yourself, was I brought for such a time as this? Did the Lord strategically place me here with purpose? Be blessed today friends 💗

Give me Jesus...

In the morning when I rise give me Jesus... Been up for a while now taking care of my sick boy. Strep is really hitting him hard, poor guy keeps having really strong body aches and just can't get comfy. Reading my bible. Today I start Esther with our Churches reading plan as well as winding down in the book of Acts. I can't say enough about how reading the Word daily has changed my life. Gods word infiltrates my heart and gives me strength, hope and courage to face anything the enemy throws my way. In the morning when I rise give me Jesus... #bible #biblestudy #whenirisegivemejesus #hope #love #strength #dailybiblereading #fortheloveofGod

Rejoice in Today!

Life is so busy, work, kids, spouses, family, chores and the list goes on. Sometimes we forget how precious each day on this planet really is. Sometimes we forget to breath in the beauty God has placed all around us. I love this verse, I remember my grandma singing the old hymn: This is the day, This is the day, That the Lord has made... Let those words well up in your heart for a moment. Are you going through a tough time in life? Are you stressed, angry, sad? Can you put that aside to see that the Lord who sent His Son to die for us made this beautiful day and He wants us to rejoice in today and be glad we are alive! Tomorrows is never guaranteed, but today, I will rejoice in today 💗
